NEET Counselling 2017 Schedule : CBSE conducted National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) on May 7, 2017. NEET 2017 was held offline (pen and paper based). Admissions to about 90,000 MBBS and BDS seats across the country will be through NEET. About 11,50,000 candidates had filled the NEET 2017 application form from January 31 to April 5, 2017. NEET 2017 was conducted at 2,200 examination centres in 104 cities across India.
NEET Counselling 2017: The counsel
ling of NEET 2017 for admissions to MBBS and BDS seats in All India Quota will begin from July 3 onwards. This is as per the schedule released by the Medical Counselling Committee which can be seen by candidates below. The NEET 2017 Counselling will be conducted in online mode for all those candidates who will qualify for admissions in government medical and dental colleges across India.
The counselling of NEET 2017 for All India Quota will be conducted for allotment of around 13,000 MBBS and BDS seats only. States will be conducting separate two-round counselling process for admission to state quota seats in government and private colleges. In order to participate in NEET Counselling 2017, qualified candidates will have to first register themselves for the counselling process during the stipulated period announce, schedule and allotment result etc.
Out of the 10,90,085 students appeared 6,11,539 have passed the medical entrance examination which was held on May 7. Of these, 2,66,221 were male aspirants while 3,45,313 were females.

CBSE NEET Results 2017: All India, state quota seats
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Government of India will conduct the counselling for 15% All India Quota seats as it was done earlier. Candidates may visit website www.mcc.nic.in for further information regarding cut off marks, etc.
For State quota and other seats falling under the ambit of States, candidates may apply to their domicile states and a merit list as per State rules and based on All India Rank will be prepared by concerned counselling authorities, said a statement from CBSE.

Candidates who do not wish to take a drop and are looking for some alternative courses in medical and biological sciences can opt for the courses like BAMS/BHMS, B.Sc. Biotechnology, B.Sc. in Nutrition and Dietetics, B.Sc. in Biological Sciences and B.Sc. in Forensic Sciences.

NEET 2017 State Counselling
The counselling for admission under 85% state quota seats (except in Andhra Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Telangana) will be conducted by medical education department or an authority appointed by the state government. It must be noted that according to a Supreme Court directive, counselling for private, central and deemed universities will be done along with the government colleges, which means, state will conduct a common centralized counselling for admissions to all colleges located in that particular state. Further, CBSE will conduct a state merit list for each state and Union territory (UT) and forward it to respective states.
The exam conducting authority, CBSE, will also prepare a merit list for participating medical colleges and forward it to concerned medical colleges for counselling process. Allotment of MBBS and BDS seats in Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi will also be done by the respective medical colleges on the basis of NEET 2017 scores.

NEET 2017 Counselling will be conducted in online mode in two rounds only. To participate in counselling procedure of NEET 2017, candidates will have to register themselves with MCC in order to obtain a roll number and password.
